While I was on my fishing trip at Vancouver Island, Helen and Kathy drove up (or is it down) to Oregon state to pick up our new dog at the breeder (StoneCrest). Our new child is a tri-color Australian shepherd, named Dutch!! Naming him was never an issue it was going to be Dutch for all the obvious reasons (the names the breeder had for him were interesting at best Pounder and Pusher). Helen grew up around dogs; my only experience has either been getting bitten or stepping in their poo (did that a lot in Amsterdam!). I decided that the leap of faith was the way to go, just get the dog and I'll figure it out. When I got home after the weekend, the furry man was already awaiting my arrival and ready to give me some tongue....he made me figure it out quick, I am a dog person!!
