Our little girl had been told in utero that under no uncertain terms should she arrive before her Oma and Opa flew in from the Netherlands... We didn't realize she was A. so obedient and B. would take us so literally, down to the minute.About 30 minutes before we left for the airport to pickup Niels' parents I started having semi-regular Braxton Hicks (practice/false contractions). I had been having them pretty frequently for a couple days but these seemed closer together.
Off to the airport we went and then about right when their plane touched down the contractions started becoming not so "false" and a little more painful.
Now, 7 hours after they started, they are 7 minutes apart, 1 minute long, and the pain is getting pretty serious. Likely no sleep for us tonight.
