Born with a silver spoon....

Cornelia is certainly not the most common name, however it was the middle name my favorite Oma (grandma), who went by the nickname 'Cor'. I have great memories of sleepovers, making wentelteefjes (french toast), watching tv (movies my parents didn't approve of yet!), browsing through old memorabilia in the attic, and especially talking to her about my Opa (granddad) that died when I was only 1 year old! I loved my Oma very dearly; she died when I was 12 and I held her hand in the hospital when she passed away. To honor her, we gave Camden my Oma's second name as her own second name.

The night of Camden's 2nd birthday (in days) we opened presents from our loved ones out in the Netherlands. Everyone showered our little girl with wonderful and beautiful gifts. One present though meant something a little extra... My Aunt Ingrid, sent us Oma Cornelia's silver birth spoon with a "C" monogrammed on it and said that Camden should have it because she was the next Cornelia and because of the special bond I had with my Oma. This spoon meant a lot to my Aunt, she asked for it when my Oma passed away. I am so touched that my Aunt Ingrid shared something so special with our daughter, we will cherish it always.
