Meet Sint... The FAKE one & the REAL one!

Today Camden attended the Oranjeschool, her Dutch Saturday school.  As today is December 5th, it was an extra special day -- because it was the celebration of Sinterklaas  (Dutch Santa / Christmas) .  We sang songs about Sinterklaas, made special Sinterklaas Miters (hats), and of course talked about Sinterklaas coming all the way to America to bring gifts to all the good little dutch boys & girls.

If there had been a contest Niels and Camden would have certainly won the craft time award!

And if that wasn't sooooo much fun...  All the classes then gathered in the gymnasium and sang more sinterklaas songs, louder and louder until who should appear - but the REAL Sinterklaas along with 5 of his trusty Zwarten Pieten (Black piet helpers).  What a special treat for Camden to get to meet the Sint in person on her first Sinterklaas.
